The Basic education Initiative for Sport and Inclusion promotes the sustainability of activities:

  • •in all areas of youth and adult education
  • •of exercise and sports
  • and of the inclusion of people with special needs.

A further focal point is the inclusion of school sports.

Our aim is to offer children with special needs the opportunity to take part in sports training and competitions all year round along with non-handicapped youngsters.

Through this, the children should be provided with the opportunity in their class or sports group to improve their physical fitness, strengthen their self-confidence and at the same time have fun interacting with youngsters of the same age.

Based on scientific findings and personal experience, we are convinced that the personal development of pupils with learning difficulties benefits greatly from taking part in a variety of sports, doing regular training and taking part in competitions, and that this is also an incentive towards life long participation in sporting activity.

This initiative works closely with Special Olympics Austria.
