The policies of inclusive school sports are based on the Unified sports program of Special Olympics. The program brings pupils with learning disabilities together with pupils who do not have such difficulties and enables them to participate together in training and competitions in different areas of sport. Both groups of pupils should have the opportunity to take part fairly in the competitions with pupils of similar ability.

A further policy of integrative school sports is the “SO GET INTI IT” program. The main aim of this program is to help youngsters understand the needs and characteristics of people with handicaps, through communal participation in sports.

Crucial points:

1. The understanding and reduction of prejudices.
Pupils should develop an understanding and acceptance of children with learning difficulties and should learn to value and appreciate the person as a whole. Through this, any prejudices they previously had of handicapped children should disappear.

2. Information about Special Olympics
Pupils should be informed about the activities and efforts of the Special Olympics and integrative school sports.

3. Events with sporting activities.
Pupils should take part in different events and should develop an enjoyment of sport, movement and competition.

It is our aim and intention to offer the possibility of doing inclusion sports to all children in inclusion classes.
